Narrabri
Narrabri is situated in the Namoi Valley in the north west of New South Wales. Asmall agricultural town well known for producing quality cotton, wheat and grazing stock. Mount Kaputar National Park, 1510 metres above sea level has breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Mount Kaputar National Park was formed by volcanic activity about 17-21 million years ago and has created many unique landforms, including Sawn Rocks, one of Australia’s best ‘organ-piping’ geological formations. The unusual pillars are the result of slow and even cooling of molten rock.
