Burnie

Burnie was settled in 1827,
a port for the surrounding resources and now is a bustling art deco town of about 20,000 residents. The ‘Makers’ town is known for its paper production and single malt whisky, as well as cheese. A great place to see this is at the ‘Meet the Makers of Burnie’, also the visitors centre.
